Rakha has been fascinated by pattern, colour and textures from a very young age. From the colours in her mum’s spice box to the traditional clothing that her grandma would bring from her frequent visits to India; the opulent fabrics all adorned with different prints and textured embroideries. Rakha studied Fashion Design at the London College of Fashion. Having raised her family, Rakha was then looking to channel her creativity and discovered the Make it in Design Courses – where she discovered her love for pattern and print design. She would describe her designs as textural, layered and slightly abstract with lots of colour. Influences being taken from nature and architecture.
